Here’s the thing, I absolutely LOVE answering questions about our adoption and our precious boy.
There’s not much more that brings me joy than talking about our children. However there are a few questions that I think are absolutely absurd and shouldn’t be asked. It just reinforces my opinion that many people lack empathy.
Children who grow up to become kind adults. Adults who are kind to strangers in the street, adults who are kind to their families. I desire to raise kind humans. I know I am not the only one who strives to do this either.
No matter how many people huff and tell you that you are just to darn stubborn, don’t listen to them. Be kind but be true to who you are. Hold on to your convictions, believe in yourself, and love yourself. And always hold on to that strong-will. Because one day, my determined child, you will change the world.
You’d think after living all these years I’d have it together a bit more, some days I do. Most of the time I don’t. If you ask my kids I think I know it all. Which by the way we have five, three originals as they call themselves and the expansion pack – our two youngest girls that the Lord saw fit to bring into our family four years ago on a permanent basis. (Our two nieces, now our daughters).
